F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions about
The BRUCE PURDY MAGIC Fund Raising Show

Q – What does the show cost us?

  • A – NOTHING! Quite the opposite – you will MAKE money. (That’s the point of a Fund Raiser after all.) You will keep 50% of all the ticket sales for your worthy projects. There are NO out-of-pocket expenses. The more tickets you sell, the more you earn, but there is no minimum guarantee, so you CAN’T loose money.

Q – Does this involve telephone or door-to-door sales?

  • A – Not unless you really want to. It’s possible to increase ticket sales that way, so it’s up to you, but it’s not necessary. You could simply sell tickets at the door, and possibly sell advanced tickets at the school office or some other centralised location. We can even sell tickets on line for you!

Q – So, what do we have to do?

  • A – Simply arrange for an auditorium or other suitable location, Get the word out about the show, sell the tickets and deposit your money in the bank!              If you want to get more involved, you could get volunteers for ushers, and of course you could add some “piggy back” fund raisers like a concession stand, hold a raffle, or even print a programme in which you can sell advertising. That’s all up to you!

Q – What do you provide?

  • A – In addition to providing the great entertainment, we help you to promote the show. Your promo kit will include posters, take-home flyers for your students and a sample press release (as well as a promotion guide full of great ideas!) We want to help make your fund raiser as productive as possible!

Q – Can you perform in our gymnasium or cafeteria?

  • A – We try to be as flexible as possible. If you have a “Gymatorium” “Cafetorium” “Auditeria”  or other hybrid gym or cafeteria with a stage, that can work. We carry  curtains, lighting and sound systems to transform a bare platform into an impressive stage. For more information please see our “technical requirements” page.

Q – How does this compare with other fund raisers we have done in the past?

  • A – The Bruce Purdy Magic Show Fundraiser is so simple to run, it can be easily added to your usual fund raising projects. Many schools already sell merchandise or food products. These involve a lot of active selling on the part of all the students, and in return you earn typically between 20% and 30%.            By contrast, You can provide those same students and their families a chance to  see some great family entertainment, with no door-to door selling, and best of all you keep 50% of all the ticket sales! (plus ALL of the money from any “Piggy-back” fund raisers you choose to run.)
